Mad Art

Guys,
am telling u art is going crazy....couldn't end the day with this for lack of a better word maddening artist's work............The Naked World of Spencer Tunick
For 20 years now, New York-based photographer Spencer Tunick has been creating human art installations all over the world, calling together volunteers by the hundreds or thousands, asking them to remove their clothes, and photographing them in massive groups. His philosophy is that "individuals en masse, without their clothing, grouped together, metamorphose into a new shape.".......

Of Sanity and Courage!

     Daring death is one thing few can do...... actually in the history of man its only Jesus who embraced Death....that is with exception of movie stars who are painted as super-humans with superlative intellect and courage beyond a lion's imagination. Everybody values their life and its quite normal that when confronted with a situation that's life-threatening one will do anything to secure at-least another day on this earth.
    For instance a friend of mine was on a hike with a few friends in the Nairobi arboretum and as fate would have it he and and his girlfriend and another couple who had too much fun decided to walk in the dark back to town.They were accosted by three dudes welding machetes; they relieved them of their phones and cash and even had the nerve to give one of the girls 50/- fare after she pleaded. To some that was foolish because since they were four, and the guys were three armed with machetes they would argue that, it was possible to fight them off! Now, compare that with this........

24 Hour Economy?

      So we have a vision 2030? how many of us even remember the inception? Ok I seriously don't remember when it started, but one of its well sung objectives is to make Kenya into a 24-hour Economy where as a Standard writer says the clock never stops on working hours!

     The current system where employees work for eight hours a day is tantamount to under-utilization of time and human resources. Presently, we are running at only a third of our capacity in terms of exploitation of working time, hence productivity is greatly affected. This is compounded by the fact that a lot of working time is lost undertaking non-productive chores. {Barre Shetto, Mandera}

As much as we applaud the visionary leadership in the vision 2030 committee the 24 hour economy goal, though attractive seems quite inadmissible in our Kenyan situation. Mr. Barre (kenya 24-hr economy)on the standard fails to realize.......

Matatu Brawn

       Transport industry in Nairobi is one that evolves mysteriously. but of notable impact is the notorious nature of touts prying various routes especially Eastlands. Some of the incidences are quite laughable and dramatic like...their diction, responses to not-so-well phrased queries by their equally money-starved clients are answered in comical ways.....
      The situation however changes when this service provider's recklessness become life-threatening.....It is the height of barbarism when a tout literally throws a passenger out of a moving matatu ........and for a reason so immaterial.......I have not found a way to describe this passenger killed
